Board of Education Special Meeting

October 16, 2014 7:30 PM

Hayes Center High School

1. Call to Order – President Richards called the meeting to order at 7:29 P.M. in the Board room at the High School.  Notice of this meeting was given in advance to all board members.

1.A. Roll Call – Board members present – Joe Anderjaska, Connie Brott, Britt Hill, Amanda Johnson, Marian Richards, Bob Rosno    

1.B. Pledge of Allegiance – President Richards led the Pledge of Allegiance.  

1.C. Recognition of Visitors - None  

1.D. Recognition of Open Meetings Act poster – displayed in the Board room.

2. Evaluation of Superintendent, Ron Howard  

Motion Passed:  Anderjaska moved, Johnson seconded to go into executive session for personnel and possible litigation, to evaluate the Superintendent and to discuss administrative duties and responsibilities, to prevent needless injury to a person or the district’s reputation. Mr. Howard has been notified of a possible motion to go into closed session for the purpose of his evaluation and discussion of his administrative duties and responsibilities and he has no objection to this executive session. Brott reread the motion and then took the roll call vote.  Motion passed 6 – 0.

President Richards reread the motion.  The board entered executive session at 7:43 P.M. and came out at 9:06 P.M.

Adjourn - Brott moved Johnson second to adjourn at 9:07 P.M. passed 6 - 0.
